SCOPE OF THIS PRIVACY POLICY

This privacy policy applies only to the actions of Otaku Hub and Users with respect to this Website. It does not extend to any websites that can be accessed from this Website including, but not limited to, any links we may provide to social media websites. For purposes of the applicable Data Protection Laws, Otaku Hub is the “data controller”. This means that Otaku Hub determines the purposes for which, and the manner in which, your Data is processed.

WHAT WE COLLECT AND STORE

We may collect the following Data, which includes personal Data, from you:

  • contact Information such as email addresses and telephone numbers;
  • financial information such as credit / debit card numbers;

Otaku Hub will collect your Data in a number of ways, for example:

COMMENTS AND MEDIA

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection. An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

  • LiteSpeed Cache: This site utilizes caching in order to facilitate a faster response time and better user experience. Caching potentially stores a duplicate copy of every web page that is on display on this site. All cache files are temporary, and are never accessed by any third party, except as necessary to obtain technical support from the cache plugin vendor. Cache files expire on a schedule set by the site administrator, but may easily be purged by the admin before their natural expiration, if necessary. DATA RETENTION

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue. For users that register on our website, we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

Unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law, we will only hold your Data on our systems for a period of five (5) years as required for tax and accounting purposes or until you request that the Data be deleted. Otaku Hub may, from time to time, expand or reduce our business and this may involve the sale and/or the transfer of control of all or part of Otaku Hub. Data provided by Users will, where it is relevant to any part of our business so transferred, be transferred along with that part and the new owner or newly controlling party will, under the terms of this privacy policy, be permitted to use the Data for the purposes for which at was originally supplied to us. We may also disclose Data to a prospective purchaser of our business or any part of it. In the above instances, we will take steps with the aim of ensuring your privacy is protected.

GENERAL

You may not transfer any of your rights under this privacy policy to any other person. We may transfer our rights under this privacy policy where we reasonably believe your rights will not be affected. Otaku Hub reserves the right to change this privacy policy as we may deem necessary from time to time or as may be required by law. Any changes will be immediately posted on the Website and you are deemed to have accepted the terms of the privacy policy on your first use of the Website following the alterations.
